At LPC we offer a case management service. Case management is when your psychiatrist is in continuous, close contact with you, and any other people you’d like involved in your treatment plan. This could be a family member, a friend or other professionals, such as a therapist. Case management services ensure that all streams of your treatment are integrated in a sleek and coordinated manner.
At LPC, one of our psychiatrists will be working intensively and closely with the patient and his or her family (with the patient’s consent).
We are able to offer a package of care which has been tailored to the patient and their specific needs. The treatment program or care plan will cover a range of therapeutic activities.
We can also provide bespoke therapy, and assist with organising appointments as well as other services that may be useful to the patient throughout their recovery journey.
The case-management service involves an extra cost to cover the additional time spent by the psychiatrist and other professionals involved in the care of the patient.
If an admission to hospital is not suitable but you would still like intensive support, case management services may be the perfect alternative. We are able to liaise with other professional mental health teams to provide suitable levels of care at home, including live-in mental health nurses and coaches.
Following the initial assessment, the psychiatrist will be able to determine if the risk posed by the suicidal thoughts is such that the patient should be admitted into a mental health clinic or hospital in order to ensure their safety and provide appropriate treatment. If this is the case, we will be able to assist in identifying the right place for admission. Some of our psychiatrists have admitting rights to the Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone, London. We are also able to assist in admitting the person in alternative hospitals, such as one of the Priory hospitals or the Cardinal clinic, if that’s the patient’s preference.
In some cases, the psychiatrist may think that it is safe to offer a treatment plan in the community that will involve a number of mental health professionals. The risk of this will be monitored on a regular basis.
Case management services are particularly useful for patients with addiction who are in active use and need an intervention to stop, or if they have recently stopped and need a support network around them to help them grow stronger and avoid relapses. We can provide bespoke therapy, assist with attendance to 12-step meetings (if required), coordinate with other addiction services (such as Start2Stop or Charter Harley Street) and offer many other services that may be useful to patients along their addiction recovery journeys.
If the patient consents, we can also carry out regular urine drug testing and organise hair drug testing.
Occasionally, we use Soberlink, a professional-grade breathalyser system with facial recognition that automatically sends results in real-time to the cloud and can be seen by the treatment team. If the patient consents, this can also be sent to their family or loved ones. This is a very useful strategy in some cases where it is difficult to monitor abstinence from alcohol.
If the person needs a detox, some of our psychiatrists have admitting rights to the Nightingale Hospital in Marylebone, London. We are also able to assist in admitting the person to another hospital, UK or worldwide, depending on the patient’s preference and the expertise within that particular hospital or clinic.
Our highly experienced psychiatrists and other professionals including our practice management team are able to offer a bespoke medical concierge service. Working alongside your psychiatrist, our medical concierge team are able to help coordinate referrals to other medical and mental health providers. We can also assist with booking physical health testing as well as genetic testing, to help provide your psychiatrist with a fuller picture of your health status and help them better tailor your treatment plan.
As you would expect, our practice management team is discreet and professional, happy to liaise with the patient directly, family members, or perhaps their Family Office. We strive to go the extra mile, and customer care always remains at the heart of everything we do.
We understand that appointments sometimes need to be rescheduled, and that urgent prescription requests really are urgent. If a referral needs to be made to another health professional, we will find the most suitable individual or clinic for you and ensure all referral paperwork is sent across in a timely fashion. By the same token, we will also liaise with other medical teams (if we have your consent) to make sure we have all the relevant information your psychiatrist needs so they can deliver the best care to you.

I am a General Psychiatrist with great interest in childhood and adolescence psychiatry. I have been working specifically in this field over the last 10 years. I believe that supporting mental health at early stages in life can prevent it from developing further into more persistent difficulties in adulthood.
I regard the patient as the product, not the problem. They are a result of their environmental, genetic and social influences, all of which can be addressed and supported with professional help.

“Just because we think something doesn’t make it true.” The meaning we give to our experiences determines everything – especially how we feel, think and behave. Exploring these meanings in therapy can help you move forward from painful experiences and empower you with strength, purpose and hope.
